The district courts' Local Rules of Administration (adopted December 27, 2022): caseload division, emergency matters, judicial leave, and the courtroom photography/recording prohibition. Adopted 12/27/2022 by Judges Holder (149th), Sebesta (239th), Hufstetler (300th), Gilbert (412th) and Bulanek (461st). RULE 1 — CASELOAD DIVISION: allocates the civil, family, tax, criminal and juvenile dockets among the district courts (as since amended by the Orders Equalizing Caseloads; the current division is the 12/2/2025 order effective 1/1/2026). RULE 2 — EMERGENCY MATTERS: no application for immediate or emergency relief shall be presented to a judge until the case has been filed with the District Clerk and assigned to a court, except matters under Chapter 262 of the Family Code (emergency removal), which may be presented as provided by statute; the judge of the court in which the case is pending (or, in that judge's absence, another district judge) hears emergency applications. RULE 3 — JUDICIAL LEAVE: governs vacation, conference and absence coordination among the district judges. RULE 4 — PHOTOGRAPHY/BROADCASTING: photographing, videotaping, recording or broadcasting of court proceedings or of the courtroom is prohibited without the prior written permission of the presiding judge. Establishes a Traffic Violations Bureau within the Clerk of the County Court under Fla. R. Traf. Ct. 6.100(a) (Burnstein, C.J., Nov. 1, 1988).
Approves the National Highway Safety Council Defensive Driving course as a school to which traffic courts may require attendance (Fla. R. Traf. Ct. 6.110(a)).
Designates the D.W.I. Counterattack School (Broward County Commission on Alcoholism) as an approved school for court-ordered attendance (Fla. R. Traf. Ct. 6.110(a)).
