"On October 1st, 2015, the Supreme Court of Texas, Misc. Docket No. 15-9205, made Final Approval of Rules Governing Electronic Filing in Criminal Cases. The Rules are effective November 1st, 2015… Criminal efile rules govern the electronic filing of documents with the clerk in criminal cases in district courts, statutory county courts, constitutional county courts, justice courts, and municipal courts in those counties in which criminal case electronic filing has been implemented pursuant to Rule 1.2 which states: Rule 1.2 Electronic Filing Permitted — A clerk may implement criminal case electronic filing in that clerk's office when he or she has the written consent of a majority of the judges in the county who have jurisdiction in criminal cases and who are served by that clerk. Where criminal case electronic filing has been implemented in a clerk's office, a filer may file and serve documents in a case through the electronic filing system or by paper. On January 20, 2017, Nancy Young, Fannin County District Clerk, requests consent by the District Court Judge of Fannin County in order to implement Criminal Efiling in the District Court of Fannin County, Texas. As witness of signatures below, the District Judge of Fannin County hereby give[s] consent for the clerk of the District Court of Fannin County to implement the criminal efile rules signed October 1st, 2015 by the Supreme Court of Texas as so required by Rule 1.2 — Electronic Filing Permitted."
