The Council of Judges adopts rules governing the broadcasting of Magistrate Court proceedings: magistration proceedings are livestreamed to a publicly viewable monitor located in the lobby of the Fort Bend County Jail (110 Ransom Road, Richmond); recording of the broadcast is prohibited; requests for media access or virtual appearance must be submitted through the Magistrate Court in advance; the Magistrate restricts the broadcasting of confidential content, including protective-order addresses, information concerning minors, and FERPA-protected material. Adopted by the Fort Bend County Council of Judges April 8, 2026; filed April 21, 2026; signed by all ten District Judges and all six County Court at Law Judges.
