Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 54A.007, this Court hereby refers the following matters to the Misdemeanor Associate Judge in accordance with Rule 24 of the Local Rules of the Harris County Criminal Courts at Law: Specific Referral (only the matters selected below) — Other matters considered necessary and proper: Cite & Release Docket. … The Court ORDERS that causes filed in this Court may be referred to the Misdemeanor Associate Judge in accordance with the criteria set forth above, to be docketed as the Court determines. The Court ORDERS that when handling these matters, the Misdemeanor Associate Judge shall have all the express, implied or inherent powers, duties, and authority of an Associate Judge appointed under Texas Government Code Section 54A. This Order is effective for the duration of the Misdemeanor Associate Judge's appointment. Date signed: January 26, 2023.
