Pursuant to Rule 7 of the Local Rules of the Harris County Civil Courts at Law, the Court hereby refers eviction cases and other proceedings related to eviction cases to the Associate Judge under Texas Government Code § 54A.107. The Court ORDERS that when handling eviction or eviction-related proceedings, the Associate Judge shall have all the express, implied, or inherent powers, duties, and authorities of an Associate Judge appointed under Texas Government Code Section 54A, Subchapter B. This Order is effective for the duration of the Associate Judge's appointment by the Harris County Civil Courts at Law. Dated December 8, 2023.
