Standing Order Modifying, Requesting, or Imposing a Change in Bond or Bond Conditions as Relating to Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Articles 17.50 and 17.51 in the Hays County District Courts (22nd, 207th, 274th, 428th and 453rd Judicial District Courts; effective October 11, 2022), for modification of bond or bond conditions involving violent offenses relating to the duties of the magistrate: (1) 'Violent Offense' is set out under Tex. Code Crim. Proc. art. 17.50(a)(3)(A)-(B); (2) the Hays County District Attorney and the defendant's attorney (or the defendant if pro se) shall provide the information needed to notify the Sheriff on the prescribed form attached to the order (Exhibit A); (3) modifications in bond or bond conditions through motions, writ of habeas corpus, or the disposition of the underlying charge shall be reported (through Exhibit A) to the Hays County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Division by the Clerk of the Court; and (4) Exhibit A shall be completed accurately before the end of court, and the defense attorney shall provide written notice (Exhibit B) to the defendant of the conditions of release on bond and the penalties for violating a condition of release.
