The Milam County Court's courtroom order: all persons must be neatly dressed in a manner showing dignity and respect for the Court (with a list of unacceptable attire); no cell phones, laptops or tablets in the courtroom; no weapons in the courtroom or courthouse; no approaching the bench without permission; no gum, food or drinks; no recording without judicial approval; address the court as "Judge" or "Your Honor"; respect court personnel; no disruption from outside the courtroom; no children without the court's consent; no excessive entering and leaving or slamming doors; and no racist, sexist, obscene or profane language unless pertinent to and quoted from the facts of a case.
