Third Amended Court Rules for Remote Hearings, 29th Judicial District, Palo Pinto County (dated Oct. 29, 2024; Michael D. Moore, Judge Presiding). The 29th District Court uses Zoom video conferencing (free to download); the court reporter or coordinator emails the hearing link, and the participant's computer must have internet access, a video camera and a microphone. Procedures for attorneys and litigants: ensure the court reporter (elizabeth.bourquin@co.palo-pinto.tx.us) and the court coordinator (sherry.roberson@co.palo-pinto.tx.us) have your email address no later than 4 p.m. the day before any hearing. If you intend to offer any exhibits during the hearing, you must provide a hard copy to the court reporter (520 Oak Street, Palo Pinto, Texas 76484) no later than 4 p.m. the day before the hearing — emails to the court reporter are not acceptable; the Court cannot consider exhibits not timely provided, and if you fail to follow this requirement the court reporter will not maintain the documents in the record.

Judge Hooi does not usually allow hybrid hearings (one side in person, one virtual); if both sides prefer, everyone may appear in person instead; emergencies route through the clerk to a judge-entered handling order.
