Local Rules Pertaining to Defendants on Bond, adopted by the 90th Judicial District Court, the Stephens County Court and the Justice of the Peace Court for Stephens County, Texas. Pursuant to Code of Criminal Procedure Art. 17.40, the signatory courts find that certain conditions related to the safety of the victim and the community will secure the defendant's attendance at trial and/or are required by law. DO NOT USE DRUGS: the defendant shall not use, possess or consume marijuana, THC substances, or any controlled substance, narcotic or dangerous drug unless lawfully prescribed and taken as prescribed, and is subject to random drug testing to verify compliance; failure will result in the bond being held insufficient and increased, with a warrant issued for the defendant's arrest and detention. ATTEND SCHOOL OR WORK: the defendant shall attend school regularly or obtain and maintain suitable employment, and must provide proof of employment at every court appearance (or submit to further requirements if not employed).
