Order of the Tarrant County family district judges (January 2019) instructing the District Clerk on the Certificate of Adoption: the Clerk completes Section 4 and, on request, hands the certificate to the adoptive parents' attorney (or the adoptive parents if pro se), who then mail the completed certificate with the fees to the Bureau of Vital Statistics, Texas Department of Health, P.O. "The District Clerk of Tarrant County, Texas is hereby ORDERED to utilize the following procedures regarding the handling of the Certificate of Adoption. 1. The Clerk shall complete Section 4 of the Certificate of Adoption. 2. Then, upon the request of the attorney for the adoptive parents or the adoptive parents, if they are pro se, the Certificate of Adoption will be given to the attorney or the adoptive parents, if they are pro se, and the attorney or the adoptive parents, if they are pro se, will then mail the properly completed Certificate of Adoption with the appropriate fees to: Bureau of Vital Statistics, Texas Department of Health, P. O. Box 12040, Austin, Texas 78711-2040." Standing order of the 109th Judicial District Court for every pending or later-filed case in Andrews, Winkler and Crane Counties: any attorney or self-represented litigant who uses any form of artificial intelligence for legal research or drafting in a case must, before using AI-generated information in a court submission or proceeding, sign and submit the court's certification form stating that all language, quotations, sources, citations, arguments and legal analysis created or contributed to by generative AI were verified as accurate by a human through traditional (non-AI) legal sources, and acknowledging responsibility and potential sanctions for their or their co-counsel's failure to comply. Effective immediately; in effect until rescinded or replaced.
