STANDING ORDER NO. 1. Absent a specific exemption, the Clerk of the Court must collect filing fees at the time a document is presented for filing. Tex. R. App. P. 12.1(b); Appendix to Tex. R. App. P., Order Regarding Fees (July 21, 1998). See also Tex. R. App. P. 5; 10th Tex. App. (Waco) Loc. R. 6; Tex. Gov't Code Ann. secs. 51.207(b) and 51.901 (Vernon Supp. 2004-2005). If any cause is dismissed for the failure to pay any fees in this Court, we suspend the above referenced rule and order the Clerk to write off all unpaid filing fees that are owed in the case. Tex. Further, if any relief is denied or any request dismissed for the failure to pay any fee in this Court, we suspend the above referenced rule and order the Clerk to write off the unpaid fees for the relief that is denied, or relief requested that is dismissed, for the failure to pay the required fee.
