D-1-GN-61-121012 IN THE 147TH DISTRICT COURT, 167TH DISTRICT COURT, 299TH DISTRICT COURT, 331ST DISTRICT COURT, 390TH DISTRICT COURT, 403RD DISTRICT COURT, 427TH DISTRICT COURT, 450TH DISTRICT COURT, AND 460TH DISTRICT COURT FOR TRAVIS COUNTY, TEXAS STANDING ORDER REGARDING RELEASE ON BAIL FOR PERSONS CHARGED WITH FELONY OFFENSE COMMITTED WHILE ON BAIL FOR FELONY OFFENSE PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 17.027 OF THE TEXAS CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE Pursuant to Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Article 17.027(a)(1)(B), the Travis County District Courts with criminal jurisdiction hereby designate the following courts to conduct initial magistration in accordance with Article 15.17 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure and release on appropriate bail, if eligible, persons charged with a felony and who have a previous felony case pending in their courts: 1. Each District Court with criminal jurisdiction in Travis County, including the Travis County District Courts Criminal Law Associate Judges appointed under Chapter 54A of the Texas Government Code; 2. The Travis County Courts at Law; and 3. The Austin Municipal Court. This order hereby supersedes and replaces the standing order in D-1-GN-61-121012, titled "Standing Order Regarding Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Article 17.027 Release on Bail for Persons Charged with Felony Offense Committed While on Bail," dated December 15, 2021. Standing order of the 109th Judicial District Court for every pending or later-filed case in Andrews, Winkler and Crane Counties: any attorney or self-represented litigant who uses any form of artificial intelligence for legal research or drafting in a case must, before using AI-generated information in a court submission or proceeding, sign and submit the court's certification form stating that all language, quotations, sources, citations, arguments and legal analysis created or contributed to by generative AI were verified as accurate by a human through traditional (non-AI) legal sources, and acknowledging responsibility and potential sanctions for their or their co-counsel's failure to comply. Effective immediately; in effect until rescinded or replaced.
