Standing Order Regarding Release on Bail for Persons Charged with a Felony Offense Committed While on Bail (Travis County District Courts — 147th, 167th, 299th, 331st, 390th, 403rd, 427th, 450th and 460th; signed August 28, 2025). Consistent with Article 17.027 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, the Order provides that when a defendant is charged with a felony offense committed while released on bail in a pending felony case in the same county, the defendant may be released on bail only by the court before whom the previous case is pending or another court designated in writing; the Order designates the courts and procedures for setting bail for such defendants in the Travis County District Courts.
