Amended Standing Order to Release Arrestees After the District Attorney's Office (for felonies) / County Attorney's Office (for misdemeanors) Rejects Charges (Travis County). In the interest of justice and fairness for persons arrested, the Order provides that when the District Attorney's Office or the County Attorney's Office rejects (declines to accept) the charges against an arrestee, the arrestee is to be released from custody on those charges without the need for a further individual order, setting the procedure by which the jail and pretrial services effect the release once the prosecuting authority's rejection is communicated.
