Travis County Standing Order for Family Law Cases, effective for all family law cases filed on or after January 1, 2020 (an Order of the Travis County District Courts), enforceable by contempt. The purpose is to protect the parties and their children and to preserve the parties' property while a divorce case or suit affecting the parent-child relationship (SAPCR) is pending. 1. GENERAL ORDERS — 1.1 the Court ORDERS the parties in every divorce and SAPCR filed in Travis County (including modification, paternity and original SAPCR suits) to obey the Order, and any person acting in concert with a party who receives actual notice; 1.2 if any part of the Order conflicts with an active court order (including a protective order or CPS order or a temporary or final order), that other order controls. The Order then sets the standard prohibitions protecting the children (no removal from Texas, no school/day-care disruption, no hiding or changing residence, no disturbing the children's peace, no disparaging remarks), preserving the parties' property, and governing the parties' personal conduct during the pendency of the suit.
