Standing Order on Local Rules of Practice of the District & County Court at Law Courts of Coryell County — an administrative standing order applying in all civil cases filed with the District and County Clerk of Coryell County; nothing in the rules interferes with the trial judges' right to make orders, settings or procedural directions in the orderly dispatch of business, and the Clerks shall post the rules and make copies available to each attorney and self-represented litigant. TITLE 1 — RULES GOVERNING ALL PROCEEDINGS. Rule 1.1, Local Administrative Judge: the Local Administrative Judge has the powers and duties provided by Texas Government Code section 74.092; each court provides the information required; in the LAJ's absence the most tenured judge may exercise the office in an emergency. Rule 1.2, Terms of Courts: the District Court and the County Court at Law each determine their own annual calendar, the local administrative judges coordinate schedules to maximize use of personnel and facilities, the courts observe federal, state and Commissioners' Court holidays, normal proceedings are conducted between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and each court may convene for emergency or special sessions on reasonable notice. Rule 1.3, Courtroom Decorum and Rules: judges and attorneys have a duty to uphold the highest standards of conduct; the Standards of Professional Conduct in Section IV of The Texas Lawyer's Creed are adopted by reference; counsel shall timely appear at each setting and after each recess, be appropriately attired, rise and remain standing while addressing the Court, address all statements/requests/objections to the Court and not to opposing counsel, not argue objections in the jury's presence without leave, and not interrupt or talk over opposing counsel.
