Standing Order for the 25th Judicial District Court, Guadalupe County (and the parallel orders of the county's other district courts). To comply with the recent amendment to Texas Rule of Civil Procedure 166a (effective March 1, 2026), the District Clerk shall immediately upon filing and docketing (and no later than the close of business on the day of filing) notify the Court Administrator of the District Court of any of the following filings: (1) any Motion for Summary Judgment (traditional or no-evidence) filed by any party; (2) any Response to a Motion for Summary Judgment; (3) any reply in support of a Motion for Summary Judgment; and (4) any other dispositive motion (e.g., motion to dismiss, plea to the jurisdiction) or response thereto that could resolve all or part of the case. Such notification is made by e-mail, internal court messaging system, or other prompt method directed by the Court Administrator and includes the date and time of filing, the title of the document and the filing party; the order remains in effect until further order of the court.
