SECOND AMENDED DESIGNATION OF COURT PROCEEDINGS AT ALTERNATE LOCATIONS 1. A catastrophic rainfall and flooding event began on July 14, 2026, causing widespread and severe property damage, injury, and loss of life in the Texas Hill Country. 2. On July 14, 2026, Governor Greg Abbott declared a state of disaster in 59 counties, Kerr County included. 3. On July 16, 2026, this disaster caused significant flooding in Kerr County, Texas, which affected the Kerr County Courthouse. Due to the flooding, the Kerr County Courthouse remains inaccessible to the judges, courthouse staff, litigants and public. This disaster precludes the 198th and 216th District Courts and the Kerr County Court at Law from conducting its proceedings in the Kerr County Courthouse. 4. Pursuant to section 24.033 of the Texas Government Code, the undersigned, the Presiding Judge of the Sixth Administrative Judicial Region, with the approval of the 216th District Court Judge, designates the following alternate locations for 216th District Court proceedings: a. Kerrville Municipal Court and Police Department Training Room, 365 Clearwater Paseo, Kerrville, Texas 78028; b. Kerr County Sheriff's Department Training Room, 402 Clearwater Paseo, Kerrville, Texas 78028; c. Kerr County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace, 400 Clearwater Paseo, Kerrville, Texas 78028; d. Happy State Bank Expo Center, 3785 TX 27, Kerrville, Texas 78028; e. Gillespie County Law Enforcement Center, 104 Industrial Loop, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624; and/or f. Gillespie County Courthouse, 101 W. Main Street, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624. 5. Pursuant to section 24.033 of the Texas Government Code, the undersigned, the Presiding Judge of the Sixth Administrative Judicial Region, with the approval of the 198th District Court Judge, designates the following alternate locations for 198th District Court proceedings: a. Kerrville Municipal Court and Police Department Training Room, 365 Clearwater Paseo, Kerrville, Texas 78028; b.
