The local rules of the 29th Judicial District Court of Palo Pinto County, adopted by District Judge Jerry D. Ray (filed Jan. 1, 2001) under Rule 3(a) of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Article 33.08 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to establish an orderly, dignified and expeditious procedure for the Court's business.

Local Rules of the 29th Judicial District Court of Palo Pinto County, Texas (adopted by District Judge Jerry D. Ray; filed with the District Clerk Jan. 1, 2001). The Introduction and Order Adopting Rules state that the rules are promulgated under the authority granted district courts by Texas Rule of Civil Procedure 3(a) and Code of Criminal Procedure Art. 33.08 to promulgate rules of practice for conducting the business of the court, that all prior rules of the 29th Judicial District Court are expressly repealed, that a copy is filed with the District Clerk of Palo Pinto County and available to all persons and attorneys with litigation in the court, and that nothing in the rules limits the trial judge's discretion to make additional orders, settings or procedural directions for the expedient and orderly dispatch of the court's business. The Order Adopting Rules directs the clerk to record the rules and order in the minutes and furnish a copy to the Supreme Court of Texas and the Court of Appeals.
