Rules of Practice and Procedure in the 82nd District Court, Falls and Robertson Counties, adopted pursuant to the Constitution of Texas, the Judicial Administration Act and the Texas Rules of Court to govern the proper and efficient disposition of all cases in the 82nd Judicial District (effective January 1, 2019; Bryan F. Russ, Jr., Judge Presiding). Except as otherwise provided by law, the Texas Rules of Court and the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, the rules of administration, practice and procedure govern the disposition and trial of cases in the 82nd Judicial District. I. PRESIDING JUDGE (1.01 Judge): reference to 'Judge' means the duly elected Judge of the 82nd Judicial District or such judge as might sit by administrative assignment, with authority to effect the expeditious disposition of all cases consistent with the proper ends of justice. II. DOCKETS AND CALENDARS (2.01 General Dockets): the District Clerk in each county, under the direction of the Judge, maintains a civil docket, a criminal docket and a juvenile docket; all cases are entered in the appropriate docket when filed; each Monday when the Court is in session in Robertson County the criminal docket commences at 8:30 a.m. and the civil and juvenile dockets at 9:30 a.m.; and all motions, bench trials and other matters set in Robertson County commence at 9:30 a.m. unless the Judge otherwise schedules. Further rules govern the settings, disposition and trial of cases in the district.

Approves the National Highway Safety Council Defensive Driving course as a school to which traffic courts may require attendance (Fla. R. Traf. Ct. 6.110(a)).
Designates the D.W.I. Counterattack School (Broward County Commission on Alcoholism) as an approved school for court-ordered attendance (Fla. R. Traf. Ct. 6.110(a)).
