The Rules of Practice govern civil, family and criminal matters in the 271st District Court and Wise County Courts at Law Nos. 1 and 2. Rule 1 sets time standards (civil jury 18 months, non-jury 12 months; contested family 6 months, uncontested 3 months) and setting requests routed through the court coordinators with a confirmation letter stating estimated trial time, unresolved discovery and a certificate of delivery.
