Unlock free →The parties must move to set all motions within 5 days of filing and timely heard within 60 days as permitted by law, but no later than 30 days prior to calendar call, or the same may be deemed abandoned. Parties may set only one hearing at a time and may set an additional hearing after the Court rules on the last motion heard. All hearings will include a Case Management Conference and the Court may hear any outstanding motions at a Case Management Conference.

Florida follows the federal summary-judgment standard. The motion must be served at least 40 days before the hearing; the nonmovant's response is due no later than 20 days before the hearing.
How Florida procedural deadlines are computed: exclude the trigger day; count every day for periods of 7 days or more; for periods under 7 days, skip intermediate weekends and legal holidays; roll forward when the last day is a weekend or holiday.
