If all parties agree to a continuance of a matter, the Court will consider requests for continuance in chambers[5], but otherwise all such motions to continue will be considered at a hearing that must be set by the moving party with the Court.

Florida follows the federal summary-judgment standard. The motion must be served at least 40 days before the hearing; the nonmovant's response is due no later than 20 days before the hearing.
